Description:

This
is a Gesture Sensor module packaged in a small breakout board with a
built in APDS-9960 sensor that offers ambient light and color measuring,
proximity detection, and touchless gesture sensing. With this RGB and
Gesture Sensor you will be able to control a computer, microcontroller,
robot, and more with a simple swipe of your hand! This is, in fact, the
same sensor that the Samsung Galaxy S5 uses and is probably one of the
best gesture sensors on the market for the price.

The
APDS-9960 is a serious little piece of hardware with built in UV and IR
blocking filters, four separate sensitive diodes which detect different
directions, and an I2C compatible interface.

Pin assignments is as follows:

VL (optional power to IR LED),

GND (Ground),

VCC (power to APDS-9960 sensor) 3.3v

SDA (I2C data)

SCL (I2C clock)

and INT (interrupt)

The APDS-9960 has a detection range of 4 to 8 inches (10 to 20 cm).

5) VERY IMPORTANT >> Do not make ANY permanent connections. Please test the item BEFORE making any permanent connections e.g. soldering to the item. Please ensure you have the means to test the item WITHOUT applying ANY solder to the item. If an item has any solder applied I will NOT accept any return.
6) When upgrading to 1st class post, (if the option is available), please note this is sent via Royal Mail and is not a guaranteed next day service. If you need a 48hr service please select 48hr delivery at extra cost. This will be sent via Royal Mail or courier. I do not offer a 24hr service. No weekend or public bank holiday deliveries.
