GY-271 HMC5883L Triple 3 Axis Digital Compass Magnetometer Sensor Module Arduino
UK SELLER – UK STOCK
The HMC5883L 3-Axis Digital Compass Breakout Board is a high sensitivity digital magnetometer that connects to your microcontroller (a PIC, ARM, AVR or Arduino) over the I2C serial bus. It is designed to measure the direction and magnitude of the Earth’s magnetic fields – up to 8 Gauss.
The pinout is labelled on the bottom of the board – and is as follows:
- VCC_+5V: connect this to a positive voltage source 5V.
- GND: connect this to your 0V or ground.
- SCL: – Serial Clock Input – connect this to your microcontroller’s SCL pin.
- SDA: – Serial Data – connect this to your microcontroller’s SDA pin.
- DRDY: – Data Ready – this is an interrupt pin that is pulled low for 250 microseconds when data is available. This can optionally be wired to your microcontroller to trigger processing the available data.
For more information on the HMC5883L, see the datasheet: Download Datasheet.
For solder options the pins will be soldered to offer a breadboard friendly configuration
